I am a writer and storyteller at heart! I love to engage with people, and discover their why, their passion, and how they tick.
My goal is to help businesses connect with their customers and deliver their story with authenticity and originiality. I do this by collaboratively working with clients to create & deliver an impactful and successful digital marketing solution.
Monday Creative gives clients back their time - I can assist with content creation, strategy, implement best social media marketing practices & streamline efforts.
I take away the everyday do, allowing clients to turn their focus on their long-term goals and business "whys".
Social media doesn't have to be difficult - it just needs to be understood.
My focus as a writer and content creator is to Keep it Simple & to Keep It Real. And with a shared commitment to discovering & sharing your direction & objectives, we collaboratively determine realistic SMART goals to outline a solid & defined plan.
I'm a Christchurch kid who loves working with local businesses to create quality content & keep businesses thriving. I sometimes share issues and discuss topics on my social media pages that are relevant to my community, and invite (kind!) discourse to keep the conversation going.

Often, the most successful businesses start with a great idea (and an even greater dose of passion!). But sometimes, the "why" of the business gets lost in the nitty-gritty of the doing.
I help clients peel back the layers to re-discover their purpose; to re-define their 'why'; to review their foundation; and re-create new strategies to achieve their short, medium, & long-term business goals.
I am a lucky mum to 4 daughters - all aged within 4 years of each other! They keep me entertained, busy, loved and appreciated (most of the time!).
We are an active family, and enjoy playing sports, or simply hanging in the outdoors. We have an energetic black lab, who loves to run around Hagley Park, and a tabby called Muzz, who spends most of his time either sleeping or terrorising the dog.
I first graduated from the University of Canterbury in 1999 with a double-degree in Law and Arts, with a double-major in French & Political Science. I was admitted as a Solicitor to the High Court of NZ in 2000, and shot to England as soon I completed my Professional Legal Studies course.
As a qualified Kiwi lawyer, I worked in a number of 'Magic Circle' law firms across London, focussed mainly on the Commercial Law. After four-years of wide and varied contract work, I was admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of England & Wales.
I've always loved to travel (having now visited over 50 countries!), and post-London spent 2-years working (and playing!) on Super-Yachts sailing around both The Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas (think "Below Deck" - that was me!).
Returning home to Christchurch in 2006, I accepted the role of Commercial Manager and In-House Legal Advisor of a foreign currency company, honing my skills in in securities law, compliance and currency trading.
The 2008 Global Financial Crisis resulted in a role redundancy, and I took a punt and re-directed my energies back to the books. I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism at the University of Canterbury (awarded First in Class and Distinction), and was set to take up my Fairfax internship in the role of a Business Reporter at The Christchurch Press.
But then... we welcomed our first-born into the world in October 2009 (literally a couple of days after I completed my post-grad), and our new life began. Our second daughter quickly followed suit (born in 2011) and we rounded off our family by having twins in 2013.
And so, having had four children in 4-years, I barely had enough time to sleep, letalone think, write or work!
But Fairfax Media offered me the opportunity to keep my hand in the mix, and I took on a role as a regular writer for the "Parental Guidance" blog. I offered daily musings, and enjoyed the opportunity to keep my (writer's) hand in, so to speak.
In the years since, I've turned my attention to offering my services as a contractor and freelancer: writing business blogs, personal profiles, news-articles, website copy and in most recent times, creating digital and social media marketing strategies for a number of local businesses.
2024 sees me offering new & existing clients digital media strategy & training, balanced with my full-time role as CEO to a family of 6; 20-hours per week committed to studying Level 3 Te Reo Māori; the odd yoga session & a daily stroll with the doggo to balance out the sanity.
For a limited time, Monday Creative is offering a fantastic kick-start (or refresh) package to get your socials singing!
